Campus and community members can enjoy casual dining, fireworks and lively performances that celebrate the musical and cultural impact of Walt Disney during Cal State Fullerton’s 25th annual Concert Under the Stars.
Friday, Sept. 12

Cal State Fullerton’s musical theatre students will be joined by alumni Mara Davi, Emily Mitchell and Ryan Nearhoff in a salute to the impact on music and popular culture made by Walt Disney through his animation, television programs, feature films, theme park entertainment and Broadway musicals.

Davi has performed on Broadway in “The Drowsy Chaperone” and “A Chorus Line,” as well as on the international tour of “42nd Street” and off-Broadway in “No, No Nanette” earlier this year.
Mitchell appeared on Broadway in “Hairspray,” toured in the European production of “Hair,” and performed in regional productions of “Dreamgirls,” “Aida” and “Beehive.”
Nearhoff performed the title role in the first national tour of “Almost Heaven: The Songs of John Denver”andmost recently was seen in the world premiere of “RadicaLove”in Palm Springs and as Luke in “Altar Boyz” at Sierra Repertory Theatre in Sonora, Calif.
A fireworks spectacular concludes the evening.
Table seating is available for $20 per person, $200 for a table of 10. Lawn seating is free of charge; attendees may bring picnic suppers, blankets and lawn chairs.
