New and returning students get a chance to get acquainted with the campus and all the university has to offer during the annual Titan "Weeks of Welcome," or "WOW." The two-week event at the start of the fall semester offers free day and evening events, information stations, student organization receptions, bowling and billiards and "Discoverfest" where students can learn about campus resources, clubs and organizations.

When:

Monday, Aug. 25-Friday, Sept. 5

Why:

"Weeks of Welcome activities provide new and returning students with information and resources that will help them navigate the campus, get involved, and make the most out of their college experience," said Serena Cline, acting senior coordinator of New Student Programs.

Highlight:

"Discoverfest" Wednesday, Sept. 3 and Thursday, Sept. 4 — 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in the Quad. This is a major event of Titan WOW, co-sponsored by the offices of New Student Programs and Student Life. Discoverfest features about 150 student organizations and campus services and more than 40 different campus departments.
