                      | Additional: | Global warming is an artificially polarized issue, where the public perception is that either there is no such phenomenon or that it is an abject disaster. Neither is true, says Professor Michaels. We invite campus and community members to this forum where Professor Michaels will shed more light on how to reduce the effects of global warming in Southern California. The program is funded with support from Associated Students Inc. and the Business Interclub Council. |

                      | Michaels: | In addition to serving as a senior fellow at the Cato Institute, Michaels is a research professor of environmental sciences at the University of Virginia. He is past president of the American Association of State Climatologists and a former program chair for the Committee on Applied Climatology of the American Meteorological Society.
