Mergers and Acquisitions Subject of Nov. 16 CSUF Progam

“Mergers and Acquisitions Between the Banking and Insurance Brokerage Industries” is the title of a Nov. 16 presentation sponsored by Cal State Fullerton’s Center for Insurance Studies.

           
Who:

Keynote speakers are J. David Cummins, Harry J. Loman professor emeritus of insurance and risk management, Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania; and Mary Weiss, professor and Deaver chair of risk, insurance and healthcare management, Fox School of Business, Temple University.

Banks are increasingly entering portions of the insurance marketplace,” said Weili Lu, director of the Center for Insurance Studies. “Many small agents, brokers, community banks are being crowded by consolidation. We’re offering this program to help cope with the challenge that these smaller businesses are facing.”
