“How Globalization and a Changing Workplace Are Affecting the Accounting Profession” is the subject of an Nov. 1 seminar hosted by Cal State Fullerton’s Center for Corporate Reporting and Governance and sponsored by Grant Thornton LLP.

Who:

Featured speakers are Carol Branford, managing partner, international client services; Anne Lang, chief human relations officer; and Harris Smith, West region managing partner — all from Grant Thornton LLP.

When:

Why:

“The purpose of the Grant Thornton seminars is to encourage talented students to major in accounting,” said Vivek Mande, director of the Center for Corporate Reporting and Governance. The center was established in 2003 within the CSUF College of Business and Economics to disseminate information on current financial reporting issues and interpretations of financial rules. Grant Thornton LLP is the U.S. member firm of Grant Thornton International.
