April 2, 2007 :: No. 159
Cal State Fullerton President Milton A. Gordon will be honored Tuesday by the National Association of Student Personnel Administrators (NASPA) during the group’s annual meeting in Florida.
Gordon was chosen to receive the 2007 NASPA President’s Award for his “significant and outstanding contributions” to the campus, student affairs and to higher education.
“The President’s Award is a special recognition given to a college or university president who has, over a sustained period of time, advanced the quality of student life on campus by supporting student affairs staff and programs,” said Gwendolyn Jordan Dungy, NASPA executive director.
She credited Gordon, who has served as president of Cal State Fullerton since August 1990, with “direct involvement in enhancing the quality of student life” at CSUF.
With more than 11,000 members at 1,400 campuses, NASPA is the largest professional association for student affairs administrators, faculty members and graduate students.
