ROTC Commissioning Ceremony Set for Dec. 15

December 11, 2006 :: No. 94

What:

Five Army ROTC cadets will be commissioned as second lieutenants during a Dec. 15 ceremony at Cal State Fullerton. The CSUF program welcomes cadets from other universities, including Biola, Chapman, UCI and Vanguard.

When:

Friday, Dec. 15
1 p.m.

Where: Titan Student Union’s Titan Theatre
Who:

The cadets, who also are completing their bachelor degrees, are:

  • John Busuego, 22, of Ontario, CSUF health science major
  • Leonard Cruz, 24, of Covina, CSUF computer science major
  • Remy Garner, 25, of Carson, CSUF radio/TV/film major
  • Tuong Quan Vu, 23, of Garden Grove, UC Irvine history major
  • Rupi Tilve, 27, of Anaheim, CSUF biochemistry major
Keynote: Major Gen. William H. Wade II, the 44th adjutant general of the California National Guard, will deliver the keynote address. Wade serves as director of the California’s Military Department, which includes 18,000 members of the Army National Guard and 4,900 members of the Air National Guard. His awards and decorations include the Legion of Merit, Meritorious Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal, Army Achievement Medal, Army Reserve Components Achievement Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Korean Defense Service Medal, Kosovo Campaign Medal and Humanitarian Service Medal.
