| Risk Management Symposium at CSUF Nov. 9

Jeffrey Vernor, manager of global risk management for Russell Investment Group, and the presidents of Southern California chapters of the Risk and Insurance Management Society will discuss risk management during a Thursday, Nov. 9, symposium at Cal State Fullerton.
The 1 – 2:15 p.m. symposium, open to faculty, staff, students and community members, is sponsored by the College of Business and Economics’ Center for Insurance Studies and will be held in the Titan Theatre of the Titan Student Union.
In addition to the symposium, Vernor will be speaking to finance classes as part of a “Risk Manager in Residence” program underwritten by a grant from the Spencer Education Foundation.
The Center for Insurance Studies, under the direction of Weili Lu, assistant professor of finance, was established to develop partnerships with the insurance industry and to attract and educate talented individuals for careers in the insurance and financial services industry.
