Cal State Fullerton to Host Special Olympics

What:

Cal State Fullerton will be a host site for the 2006 Special Olympics of Southern California Fall Games Championship Series.

Who:

More than 1,000 Special Olympics athletes from throughout Southern California will participate in the games.

When:

Saturday, Oct. 28
9 a.m.

Where:

Various athletic venues on the Cal State Fullerton campus
800 N. State College Blvd., Fullerton, 92831   

Cost: The games are free and open to the public.

Background:

The Fall Games kicked off last weekend with a roller skating competition in Bakersfield and continue this week with five more events. CSUF will host the powerlifting and soccer competitions, while cycling, bowling and softball will take place at off-campus sites. The games wrap up Nov. 11 with a volleyball tournament in Anaheim.
