Gustavo Arellano, OC Weekly’s “Ask a
Mexican” columnist, will deliver a lecture on
the plight of Mexicans in Orange County, followed by
a screening
of the Emmy-winning short documentary “Menendez vs. Westminster: For All
the Children/Para Todos Los Ninos.” The film is about the 1946 case of
school desegregation in Orange County that preceded the landmark Brown vs. Board
of Education ruling. The program is open to the public free of charge. |
