Story of Vietnam Told Through Photos, Film, Song

April 24, 2006 :: No. 222

What: A special commemoration of the fall of Saigon, “New Hope, New Life, New Horizon,” will be presented Wednesday in the form of a slide show and documentary set to Vietnamese songs that tell the history of Vietnam and Vietnamese Americans. The event is free and open to the public. Lunch is included.
When:

Wednesday, April 26
11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Where: Titan Student Union, Portola Pavilion
Who: Vietnamese American community members will join Cal State Fullerton Asian American studies students and faculty members in making the presentation.

Noon Songs: “The Heroes” and “Hoi Nghi Dien Hong”
12:15 p.m. “Vietnam Under Chinese Domination: The Story of the Trung Sisters”
12: 25 p.m. “Vietnam Under French Colonialism: The Story of the At Dau Famine”
12:40 p.m. “Reflections on Vietnam Wars”
