The focus of the event is to provide information about centers that serve Asian American and Pacific Islander communities. Cal State Fullerton is considering opening such a center on campus, said Craig Ihara, coordinator of CSUF's Asian American Studies Program. |

10:30 a.m. – noon: Panel discussion, "Models of Resource Centers: Histories
of Challenge and Success," with Gregory Yee Mark, chair of Sacramento State's ethnic studies; Daren Mooko, associate dean and director of Pomona College's Asian American Resource Center; DonNakanishi, director of UCLA's Asian American Studies Center; and Frederick Smith, interim director of Cal State Los Angeles' Cross-Cultural Centers. Organization Showcase. Asian Pacific Islander community organizations will be staffing booths, providing information about their work.
