Junior High School Students to Build Bridges, Fly Gliders

February 21, 2006 :: No. 142

What: Some 400 junior high school students will gather at Cal State Fullerton for Junior High Mathematics, Engineering, Science Achievement (MESA) Day.
When: Wednesday, Feb. 22
8 a.m.-12:30 p.m.
Where:

Engineering and Computer Science quad
800 N. State College Blvd., Fullerton, 92831

Events: This year, a new trebuchet (catapulting) competition has been added to the program. Other activities include: bridge building, glider flying, Web design, crystal growing, soil science and air-powered vehicles.
