CSUF to Celebrate African American Heritage Month

What:

Lectures, pageants, comedy, music and film will highlight Cal State Fullerton’s celebration of African American History Month.

Various locations in the Cal State Fullerton Titan Student Union

Schedule: The following events are open to the public and free of charge, except where noted:
Feb. 2

Malcolm-Martin Lecture Series: “The Life and Times of Malcolm X,performed by actor VerNon Van at 6 p.m. in the TSU’s Portola Pavilion

Feb. 9 Malcolm-Martin Lecture Series: “The Tree Concept for Assessing Black History, presented by Joseph A. Bailey, writer and retired orthopedic surgeon, at 6 p.m. in the TSU’s Portola Pavilion.
Feb. 11 Omega Psi Phi Fraternity’s 25th Anniversary Black Tie Affair at 6 p.m. in the TSU’s Portola Pavilion. Tickets are $55 each and available at (323) 788-1501.
Feb. 17 The National Society of Black Engineers Night, featuring bowling at 7 p.m. in the TSU’s Titan Bowl and the Pub.
Feb. 22 Ethel Waters Film Festival at 8 p.m. in the TSU’s Gabrielino Room
Feb. 23 Omega Psi Phi Fraternity’s Black Women Appreciation Night at 7 p.m. in the TSU’s Ontiveros Room
Feb. 24 Sistertalk Comedy Show at 6:30 p.m. in the TSU’s Titan Theatre
Feb. 25

Sistertalk Gospel Fest at 2 p.m. in the TSU’s Portola Pavilion. Tickets are $7 ($5 for students with ID) in advance or $10 at the door.
