Keeping Family Business Balanced and Successful

January 20, 2006 :: No. 114

What: The author of "Keep Your Business Close ... and Your Family Closer" will discuss the advantages and tools of family business success Wednesday, Feb. 15, at a workshop sponsored by Cal State Fullerton's Family Business Council.
Who: Larry Hollar is president of Hollar Seeds in Rocky Ford, Colo. The family-owned business begun in 1950 is entering its third generation of family leadership.
When: 7:30 -10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 15
Where: Ayres Hotel and Suites, 325 S. Bristol St., Costa Mesa

The Family Business Council, part of the CSUF College of Business and Economics, is a partnership between the business community and the university. Its mission is to enhance the well-being and survivability of family businesses by providing opportunities for education, interaction and information tailored to the needs and concerns of business. In addition to monthly workshops, the center offers several peer-group affinity discussion meetings and is involved in the university course, "Family Business Dynamics."
