Orange County Teachers to Be Honored
by CSUF College of Education

What: CSUF College of Education's inaugural "Honor A Teacher" awards reception. Two Orange County teachers will receive the first Titan Education Excellence awards, and 80 other outstanding educators will receive "Honored Teacher" awards.

Awards MC: KCBS-TV news anchor Harold Greene is the master of ceremonies.
Background:

Honorees for the Titan Education Excellence awards are selected from among College of Education graduates who have demonstrated excellence in teaching.

The "Honored Teacher" recipients were recommended by College of Education faculty members or members of the college's advisory boards. As part of the award, donations were made in the honorees' names to the College of Education's Honor a Teacher Scholarship Fund.

Teachers Frances Kay Krausman of Anaheim and Carole Shelby of Garden Grove will receive the inaugural Titan Education Excellence Awards.

Posthumous awards will be given in honor of the following former educators: Hazel Croy, Bernice Simpson Curry, Lewis M. Hancock, Hazel Jones, Dorothy C. Klausner, Eileen McLaughlin and John Rosell.
