State Fullerton Patrons of the Pollak Library’s
annual spring event. |

| Background: |
Mantle is currently celebrating his 20th year at the
microphone for “AirTalk” on National Public
Radio affiliate KPCC (FM-89.3). The daily interview/call-in
program is now the longest continuously airing daily talk
program in Southern California.
Since 1985, Mantle’s guests have included President
Jimmy Carter, Steve Martin, Sen. John McCain, Rosa Parks,
Maurice Sendak, Carl Reiner and more, from the worlds
of politics, science, medicine, history, entertainment
and the arts.
