What: Spotlighting Black History and Women’s History months, “Windows to the Soul: the Many Faces of African Women” celebrates women throughout Africa as seen in the photographs of A. Olusegun Fayemi.
Where: South lobby, Pollak Library
When: Through March 31
Meet the Artist: A reception for and presentation by Fayemi will take place from 4-6 p.m. Wednesday, March 9, in room 250 of University Hall. The event is sponsored by the African American Resource Center, Department of English, Comparative Literature and Linguistics, Women’s Center and Afro-Ethnic Studies Department.

Background: Originally from Nigeria, New York-based Fayemi has devoted the past 25 years to documenting — through photography — continental Africans and Africans living throughout the world. His works have been published and exhibited widely in the United States and abroad and are included in many public and private collections.
“Windows to the Soul” was organized by Helen Mugambi, CSUF associate professor of English, comparative literature and linguistics.
