Cal State Fullerton’s College of Business and Economics to
Honor Business Leaders

February 8, 2005 :: No. 125

What: Three company leaders — all of whom are Cal State Fullerton alumni — will share their experiences in making a business grow and prosper during a Feb. 24 “Salute to Business Leaders” day sponsored by the College of Business and Economics at Cal State Fullerton.
Who: Dean Samsvick (B.A. business administration-accounting ’81), managing partner of the Orange County office of KPMG, LLP and partner-in-charge of the office’s audit practice

Daniel P. Hann (B.A. economics ’77), senior vice president, general counsel and secretary for Biomet Inc. of Warsaw, Ind.

K.P. “Bala” Balkrishna (M.B.A. ’78), president and CEO of Commercial Bank of California
Why: “We honor these individuals for their business accomplishments and achievements,” said Joni Norby, assistant dean of the College of Business and Economics. “This event is an excellent opportunity for the honorees to serve as important role models for our students and to keep in touch with the college. Our faculty and students benefit tremendously from staying connected with the business world and its most successful leaders.”
Additional: The executives will teach classes, and meet with students and faculty members to discuss their background, experience and the skills necessary for success. The three will be honored at a luncheon.
