Theatre Alum Performing in “Hair”

Cal State Fullerton theatre alumnus Marshal Kennedy Carolan joined some of his cast mates in “Hair” for a midday performance at South Coast Plaza Jan. 27 to promote the national touring production of the “American Tribal Love-Rock Musical,” now on stage through Feb. 6 at the Segerstrom Center for the Arts.

After the free show for shoppers who strolled by the Carousel Court, Carolan and other members of the cast signed autographs.

In addition to portraying a member of "The Tribe," Carolan is understudying the role of Claude. In his student days, in the university’s October 2005 production of “Anything Goes,” Carolan portrayed a cameraman/sailor. He’s now based in New York and has been enjoying professional success ever since his senior class showcase in New York City.

Carolan talks about his experiences in an interview with StageSceneLA.com.
