Hollywood’s Biggest Night

A Celebration to Benefit College of Communications

Lights! Cameras! Popcorn!

Popcorn?

Yes, popcorn! And more!

Instead of staying home to see which film will win Best Movie of the Year, join other movie fans and experience Hollywood’s biggest night on the big screen in one of Orange County’s premier movie theaters.

Cal State Fullerton’s College of Communications, in cooperation with UltraStar Cinemas at Anaheim GardenWalk, will host a live viewing of the ceremony beginning at 5 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 27. Attendees to “Hollywood’s Biggest Night” will celebrate with glitz and glamour as they walk the red carpet, enjoy unlimited popcorn and soft drinks and cheer for their favorite actors, actresses, directors, movies and more. Movie-themed trivia, games and giveaways will take place during commercial breaks, with contests for Best Dressed and Celebrity Look-A-Like.

The College of Communications has prepared more than 20,000 students for professional communications careers. This year, a Radio-TV-Film alum — Matthew Libatique — is an Academy Award nominee for best cinematography for his work on “Black Swan.”

“We’re very excited about this event and we have a whole host of activities planned for the evening,” said Jule Selbo, chair and associate professor of radio-TV-film. “We’re very excited to bring together our alumni, students and supporters for a memorable evening on Hollywood’s biggest night.”

“Institutions like Cal State Fullerton are vital to training the next generation of communications and entertainment professionals,” said Wally Schlotter, vice president of special projects, UltraStar Cinemas. “We are very pleased to host ‘Hollywood’s Biggest Night’ in support of the university and its educational goals.”

Advance ticket prices are $15; $10 for CSUF students; $20 at the door. Deadline for online advance ticket purchases is Feb. 23. Event proceeds will benefit students in the College of Communications. For more information or to register, visit http://www.fullerton.edu/HollywoodNight.
