Exploring the Human Spirit
Faculty and Student Works Shine During Fall Dance Theatre
Seven dances choreographed by students, guest artists and theatre and dance faculty members make up this year’s Fall Dance Theatre now running through Oct. 31 in the Little Theatre of the Joseph Clayes Performing Arts Center. This fall’s program explores the human spirit through themes of celebration, life, death, strength and the fascination with celebrity.
Among the offerings: “To Chevy With Chopin,” choreographed by Robin E. Johnson, emeritus professor of theatre and dance, in honor of Frederic Chopin’s 200th birthday. Other performances deal with the paparazzo’s fascination with celebration and the culture of the 1930-40s gangster life. In addition to Johnson, other choreographers are William F. Lett, Bobby Neal, Katie Chilton, London Outlaw, Colin Connor and Courtney Ozovek.
General admission tickets are $10 ($9 with advance Titan Discount purchase) and are available online and at the Clayes box office.
