‘JUICE IT UP!’ Opens
New Location
in Titan Student Union
Grand Opening Celebration Scheduled for Tuesday,

Juice It Up!, in coordination with CSUF Foundation
Food Services, recently opened a franchise location in a newly renovated
space in the Titan Student Union food court at Cal State Fullerton.
Juice It Up! is a national chain serving fresh fruit smoothies and
promoting a healthy lifestyle. Transitioning recently to establishing
franchises in the college market, the location in the Titan Student
Union is among the first on college campuses.
A grand opening celebration is slated for Tuesday,
September 21, 2004 from 11 a.m.- 1 p.m. An official ribbon-cutting
ceremony featuring CSUF Foundation Food Services Director Tony Lynch,
Juice It Up! Franchise Owner Jagdish Patel, Juice It Up! CEO Frank
Easterbrook, Juice It Up! Vice President for Business Development
and CSUF alumnus Larry Sidoti and Associated Students Inc. President
Philip Vasquez will kick off the celebration. There will be live
music provided by a steel drum band, giveaways and discounted smoothies,
including the popular Strawberry Wave for only $1 offered throughout
the event.
Juice It Up! began franchise operations in 1995, building
on the success of the trailer operation located on the Cal State
Fullerton campus. There are more than 50 franchise operations, with
several more slated to open soon. The trailer operation launched
it all is still a popular location located on the north side of
the Humanities-Social Sciences Building.
EDITOR’S NOTE: Juice It Up! is a sublease
managed by the CSUF Foundation. The CSUF Foundation is a lessee
at the Titan Student Union, a program of the Associated Students,
CSUF Inc. The Titan Student Union food court offers a wide selection
of national chain eateries and is looking towards a complete renovation
in 2005-06. The new Juice It Up! space is the first step towards
creating a new ambiance and design for the food court. For more
