Leading By Example

Gaddi H. Vasquez, director of the Peace Corps and a former Orange County supervisor, recently visited campus to address high school students attending the 10th annual Youth Service Conference presented by the Volunteer Center of Orange County. Vasquez discussed the role of the Peace Corps and the importance of volunteer service with the high school attendees, and later that day, with a group of Cal State Fullerton students. Currently there are 10 CSUF graduates serving in the Peace Corps; since 1961, 253 alumni have participated in the program. Pictured with Vasquez are President Milton A.
