Background:

Growing Southern California Artists and Collectors is a party to celebrate Cal State Fullerton Grand Central Art Center's first five years. It is also the first fundraiser benefiting the growth of Grand Central Art Center’s exhibition and educational programs. The evening event includes music, dancing, delicious delicacies and libations. In addition numerous door prizes along with a new work of art will be available to add to your collection.

Public support is needed to help us grow Southern California Artists and Collectors. Tickets are available at two levels. The "Collectors Ticket" entitles you to spin and win a work of art from the 67 pieces exhibited in the Rental and Sales Gallery. Each “Collectors Ticket” patron will leave with an artist's work. The "Party Ticket" entitles guests to all of the party’s offerings with the exception of the spin and win a work of art.

Artists interested in joining and supporting the event are encouraged to contact the Grand Central Art Center. Supporting artists are welcome to attend the event with one free “Party Ticket” for a guest.

Growing Southern California Artists and Collectors is an ongoing mission at the CSUF Grand Central Art Center. Over the past five years, CSUF Foundation, staff, artists, collectors, students, teachers and the public have been growing the arts in Santa Ana, California. The GCAC Rental and Sales gallery has presented more than 45 exhibitions featuring artists from Southern California. Quality exhibitions and much higher than normal commissions to artists have been the building blocks for this growing program.

While the center has exhibited more than 200 artists, the mission has gone further to educated local students through an active outreach program. The program has exposed students to galleries and artists, and taught them about various disciplines including exhibition design, graphic design and photography. GCAC Outreach has offered more than 40 local students opportunity, encouragement and support giving them a strong foundation so they are better prepared for future educational and personal challenges.
