State Department Official
to Speak on Foreign Policy Since 9/11
“United States Foreign Policy
After September 11” is the subject of a talk by Philip Reeker,
spokesman-at-large for the State Department, at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday,
Sept. 10, at Cal State Fullerton.
The event is open to the public free of charge
in the Titan Student Union’s Titan Theater.
The audience is invited to participate in a
question-and-answer session following his remarks.
Reeker has been with the State Department’s
Bureau of Public Affairs for the past four years, most recently
as deputy state department spokesman. He also has been director
of press relations. In July 2005, he is slated to serve as deputy
chief of mission at the U.S. Embassy in Budapest, Hungary. Earlier
this year, Reeker received the Edward R. Murrow Award for Excellence
in Public Diplomacy.
The talk is sponsored by the CSUF student chapter
of the Society of Professional Journalists.
