to Host Aug. 16 Open House

An open house for prospective and continuing members of Continuing
Learning Experience will feature a center tour, plus preview of
fall programs and events.
When: Saturday, Aug. 16.
9 a.m.-noon
Where: Ruby Gerontology Center
Cal State Fullerton
Fall Theme: Learning+Sharing+Socializing=CLE.
“This theme,” says the organization’s president,
Kirt Spradlin, “is the basic definition of what CLE represents
— a premier program for mature individuals who want to continue
learning and sharing interests and abilities in a university environment.”
Schedule:
9 a.m. — continental breakfast,
tours of activity centers
10 a.m. — open meeting and welcome by CSUF President Milton
A. Gordon
11 a.m. — program Q&A, center tours, membership signups
Something for Everyone:Featured
programs for fall include “Fostering Cultural Respect,”
“Walk Through the Bible,” “Wisdom Exchange,”
“20th Century” and more

Background: Continuing Learning Experience
(CLE) is a self-governing university support group of almost 800
retired and semiretired individuals dedicated to the pursuit of
lifelong learning. Based at the Ruby Gerontology Center on the campus
of Cal State Fullerton, CLE will start its 24th year Sept. 8, 2003.
