Fluency Conference Scheduled at
Cal State Fullerton
October 11, 2004 :: No. 53
Cal State Fullerton will be the site Friday,
Oct. 22, of the sixth annual Fullerton Fluency Conference, a program
designed to assist speech-language pathologists in using computers
in therapy with children.
This year’s featured speaker is Anthony J. Caruso,
a software designer of interactive programs. The conference is scheduled
from 1-5 p.m. in Room 320 of Langsdorf Hall.
“This program will focus on interactive e-therapy
for speech-language pathologists,” said Sherri Wolff, clinical
director for the university’s Center for Children Who Stutter.
“What makes this program unique is the interactive use of
the computer with the children.” The software is designed
for use with children who stutter or have other speech disorders.
Cost for attendees is $85 per person.
For additional information, call Wolff at the Center
