Free Mini Medical Lectures at
Cal State Fullerton This Fall

A series of free “mini medical”
lectures focusing on health recommendations for senior citizens
is scheduled at Cal State Fullerton in October and November.
In cooperation with UCI and the Cal State Fullerton Institute of
Gerontology, the lectures will be held in Mackey Auditorium of the
Ruby Gerontology Center, located on the CSUF campus.
Registration for all programs begins at 9:30 a.m.,
and the lectures start at 10 a.m. The speakers are all on staff
at UCI Medical Center. The programs include the following:
Saturday, Oct. 16, Ken Linden, assistant
professor, dermatology, will discuss “Healthy Skin: Signs
of Skin Cancer Treatments and Preventions.”
Saturday, Oct. 30, Stanley van den
Noort, professor and chair emeritus of the Department of Neurology,
will discuss “What You Should Know to Keep Your Brain Healthy
as We Age.”
Saturday, Nov. 13, David Hsiang,
assistant clinical professor, oncology surgery, will discuss “Prevention
and What Can Be Done for Breast Cancer.”
