Background: |
After performing a sold-out concert in Yanji,
China this summer Martinchuk, a member of the Department of
Music’s keyboard faculty returns to Cal State Fullerton’s
Recital Hall stage to perform.
Martinchuk, who began his piano studies at the age of seven
in the Ukraine, moved to the United States after winning numerous
competitions for young performers and graduating from the
music academy. Since moving to the US he won many awards,
and locally took prizes the Pasadena Piano Competition and
Los Angeles Liszt Competition. His performances opportunities
continue to grow, and he has been heard on radio and television
in Europe and the United States. He has been a featured artist
with the West Coast Symphony and the University of California
Santa Barbara Symphony, among others. He received his Master
of Music degree in piano performance from University of California,
Los Angeles, and his DMA in piano performance from the University
of California, Santa Barbara. |
