Artwork by seven Cal State Fullerton master of fine
arts students is currently on display at the Lowe Gallery in Santa
Monica through Aug. 23. Part of the gallery’s first annual
Los Angeles (MFA) Invitational, the juried exhibition “honors
Southern California’s next generation of visual artists.”
The works of 25 graduate students from CSUF, UCLA, USC, CalArts,
UCI, Otis College of Art and Design, Claremont Graduate University,
Cal State Northridge and Cal State L.A. were selected. The CSUF
students are: Jason Chakravarty (mixed media) of Tempe, Ariz.; Sherman
Oaks residents Lauren Gabriele (video) and Gretchen Potts (mixed
media); Monica Landeros (sculpture) of Montclair; Upland resident
Dana Lovell (paintings); Richard Mansfield (mixed media) of Montrose;
and Lawndale resident Diana Postik. The Lowe Gallery is located
at 2034 Broadway, Santa Monica.
