Keeping In-Laws in the Family Business Fold
Is Subject of Dec. 13 Workshop

What:

Integration of in-laws in the family business can introduce complex dynamics and concerns. Cal State Fullerton’s Family Business Council hosts a Dec. 13 workshop “What Does it Take for In-Laws in the Family Business Not to be Considered Out-
Laws?”

Who:

Jim Ellis, former director of USC’s Family Business Program, will lead a panel discussion about how to be a good in-law in a family business, participating, coaching and assisting whenever one can be a positive contributor to the business. Serving on the panel are: Mike Dugan and Carlo De Autouguia of Western Overseas Corp., Jim Beck of Nature’s Best, Ashesh Kamdar of GBS Linens, Jim Cadwell of Reel Lumber and Chuck Ricciardi of O’Connor Mortuary.

When: 7:30-10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 13
Where:

Ayres Hotel and Suites, 325 S. Bristol St., Costa Mesa

Additional:

The Family Business Council, part of CSUF’s College of Business and Economics, is a partnership between the business community and university. Its mission is to enhance the well-being and survivability of family businesses by providing opportunities for education, interaction and information tailored to business needs and concerns. In addition to monthly workshops, the center offers several peer-group
affinity discussion meetings and the university course, “Family Business Dynamics.”

Cost:

Free to first-time family business attendees interested in becoming a member of the Family Business Council. Reservations are required and can be made by calling
