The focus of the event is to provide information about centers that serve Asian American and Pacific Islander communities. Cal State Fullerton is considering opening such a center on campus, said Craig Ihara, coordinator of CSUF's Asian American Studies Program. |

10:30 a.m. – noon: Panel discussion, "Models of Resource Centers: Histories
of Challenge and Success," with Gregory Yee Mark, chair of Sacramento State's ethnic studies; Daren Mooko, associate dean and director of Pomona College's Asian American Resource Center; DonNakanishi, director of UCLA's Asian American Studies Center; and Frederick Smith, interim director of Cal State Los Angeles' Cross-Cultural Centers. Noon to 1 p.m.: Lunch in the Garden Cafe
12:30 –1:30 p.m.: Gabrielino Room, Orange County Community-Based
Organization Showcase. Asian Pacific Islander community organizations will be staffing booths, providing information about their work.

Mary Anne Foo, executive director of Orange County Asian and Pacific Islander Community Alliance; Trish Gutierrez, Cal State Fullerton student and president of Hip-Hop Congress; Oiyan Anita Poon, UCLA graduate student and former UC Davis Student Affairs officer; Carol Q.
