Celebration Friday for
CSUF Business College Groundbreaking
College kicks off a new chapter with
a groundbreaking ceremony for the college's new home, Steven
G. Mihaylo Hall.

A groundbreaking celebration will be
held at 3:30 p.m. Friday (Oct. 28) on the site of Steven G.
Mihaylo Hall, the future home of Cal State Fullerton’s
College of Business and Economics.
Among the dignitaries to take part in the festivities
will be the building’s namesake, Steven G. Mihaylo,
founder and CEO of Phoenix-based Inter-Tel, a publicly traded
provider of communications hardware, software and service.
The 1969 business alumnus has given $4.5 million in pledges
and contributions to the college.
Joining Mihaylo, CSUF President Milton A. Gordon
and College of Business and Economics Dean Anil K. Puri, will
be Emulex CEO Paul E. Folino, who launched
the college’s $15 million campaign; Richard
Muth, president of ORCO Block; Joseph R.
Moderow (Class of ’70), retired senior counsel
and vice president of UPS, Geoffrey S. Payne
(Class of ’80), president of Tahiti Partners Real Estate
Development, Dean M. Samsvick (Class of ’81),
managing partner of KPMG, and Robert M. Taylor
(Class of ’67 and ’73), president of the REMM
Group.
The $79-million, 195,000-square-foot Mihaylo
Hall will be constructed on the southeast side of campus between
Langsdorf Hall and the Fullerton Marriott. Site preparation
begins next month with construction scheduled in spring 2006.
Completion is expected in 2008.
CSUF’s College of Business and Economics
is home to the nation’s second largest accredited undergraduate
business program and the largest such program in California
in terms of enrollment.
