Background: |
Pianist Alison Edwards is active as both soloist
and chamber musician. She has been performing recitals
nationally, including programs for the Los Angeles Museum
of Contemporary Art, the Peninsula Symphony, at Pomona
College and for various community college series among
others. In addition, Edwards has received top awards
in competitions including first place in the Carmel
Music Society Young Artist Competition and the MTNA
Wurlitzer Collegiate Competition. She is currently a
member of the Palo Verde Trio, Roselle Trio and the
Fries-Edwards Duo.
During her undergraduate studies at California State
University, Fullerton, she was the Music Associates
Concerto Competition grand prizewinner and performed
with the university’s symphony under the direction
of Leo Kreter. She received the Master of Music degree
from the University of Southern California, where she
was presented with the departmental award for Outstanding
Master of Music Graduate in Keyboard Studies. She has
been an adjunct faculty member at California State University,
Fullerton since 2001.
