Growing and sustaining a family-owned business is the
focus of the second annual Hispanic Family-Owned Business
Conference presented by Cal State Fullerton's Family Business
Council and sponsored by Bank of America and DoudHausnerVistar.
Presentations will focus on building leadership for the
next generation, finance, legal issues and marketing for
Hispanic family businesses. |
Keynoters: |
Rosario Marin, former U.S. treasurer
and current member of the California Integrated Waste
Management Board. She is representing Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger
at the event. Imanol Belausteguigoitia,
director of the Centro de Desarrollo de la Empresa Familiar
at the Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de
México . Other speakers include
Louis Barajas, author of " The Latino Journey
to Financial Greatness: Ten Steps to Creating Wealth,
Security and a Prosperous Future for the Latino Family,"
and Ruben Martinez of Libreria Martinez

"There are nearly 350,000 Hispanic family-owned businesses
in California," noted Mike Trueblood, director of Cal
State Fullerton's Family Business Council. "They are a
thriving and growing component of our region's economy.
It is part of the Family Business Council's mission to
provide family businesses with opportunities for education,
interaction and information tailored to their needs."
